How it's used

The IMPACT technology is mainly used when it’s needed to measure pressure of media at high temperature.
The pressure values that can be sensed range from 10 bar till 3000 bar and the maximum allowed temperature of the media is 350 °C.

The IMPACT sensor transduce a pressure into an electrical signal by using 4 silicon piezoresistors arranged into a Wheatstone bridge structure.
Applications and markets

The need to measure pressure of media in temperature is typical of many applications:

Aerospace: measure of exhaust gas and turbine control.
Automotive: engine test bench and fuel injection control.
Food: sterilization process control and high temperature packaging.
Chemical: process control.
Oil and gas: pipelines and high temperature plants.
Nuclear: cooling fluid and core system control.
Aluminium extrusion: process control.
Plastics: injection and extrusion process control; recycling process; polymers pipeline manufacturing.
